Freshman shortstop Taylor Featherston made a jumping snag on a liner looking for the left center gap.
Still 5-0 in the top of the 6th. Two out.

TCU starter Stephen Maxwell is replaced by Trent Appleby at the beginning of the sixth.
Maxwell went 5 innings with two hits and no runs. Maxwell finished with five strikeouts

Senior Ben Carruthers singled to left driving in Matt Vern from second in the bottom of the fourth.
Vern reached on an error by DBU third baseman Ryan Behmanesh. Corey Steglich reached on a walk moving Vern to second.
Frogs lead 5-0 in the bottom of the fourth with one out runners on first and second.

Just as the Major League basecoaches now have to wear protective helmets while on the field, the college coaches are too. Coaches Masey and Whitting are donning their new TCU purple scull caps.

Freshman Jason Coats hits a homer to left field driving in two and putting the Frogs up 4-0.
Junior Matt Curry was on second after singling to left and stealing second. The Frogs have four stolen bases on the night.
After three the Frogs are up 4-0 on five hits and no errors. DBU have no runs on two hits and no errors.

Senior first baseman Matt Vern’s hit left the park inleft feild about ten feet from the foul pole in the bottom of the second. Vern’s two run shot draws first blood and puts the Frogs up 2-0 with two outs in the second.
